Any contract between you and Arrowsmith Eyecare is non-transferrable.



These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

By submitting your order to Arrowsmith Eyecare you certify that you are using a valid prescription for any prescription eyewear that you are ordering and that you have accurately entered the prescription details including any additional information on the prescription. You also certify that your prescription is from a suitably qualified practitioner and is less than 2 years old, or less than 1 year old if you are aged 70 or over or have been advised that you need need to be examined more frequently. You also certify that you are not registered blind or partially sighted and that you are aged 18 or over. You agree that we can contact you ( and / or your prescription provider ) if necessary to verify or clarify any details relating to your prescription or purchase. The accuracy of your p.d. ( interpupillary distance ) is your responsibility. Where none is supplied we will use average p.d. measurements . If you are purchasing prescription eyewear from us, you are welcome to visit us and we will measure your p.d. free of charge.



Submitting an order or orders represents an offer to purchase. Orders can only be accepted once we have received an authorised payment and reviewed the order details. We have absolute discretion whether or not to accept an order. If your order is not accepted you will be given a full refund. We do not guarantee the availability of goods. We are not responsible for any loss or damage that you may suffer if we are unable to supply goods. We will do our best to display accurate prices and  information on the website, but these cannot be guaranteed. We do our best to depict and describe products accurately, but this cannot be guaranteed. We cannot guarantee that your computer monitor’s display of any colour will be accurate. If we make a mistake with pricing we will notify you before we process your order and you may either accept the correct price, or obtain a full refund. If a product is described or depicted incorrectly you may return the product for a refund as per our returns policy. Prices shown on the website include any V.A.T. that we may be liable to pay. Prices do not include delivery charge, this is displayed in the checkout process.


Goods will be delivered to the address provided by you at the time of order. This address must match the address associated with the credit/debit card that you have used. We aim to deliver most goods within two weeks, although some may take longer. We do not guarantee delivery within two weeks. Goods will normally delivered by mail, although we may choose to use other delivery methods . We will notify you when goods are despatched.   If you do not receive the goods in a reasonable number of days after the notification of despatch please contact us. Please inspect the goods when you receive them and if there is any damage, or if you have any vision problems with them whatsoever, please do not wear them and return them to us as specified in our returns policy. Once the goods are in your possession you become liable for any damage to them.



We want you to be delighted with all goods that you have bought from us. If you are not satisfied with the goods we have supplied you may cancel the contract by returning them to us in their original condition within 7 days of the date that we despatched them, this includes any case, branding, boxes, or other accessories that were supplied. If you have ordered prescription eyewear you cannot cancel your order once we have started to manufacture or tailor goods to your individual specification, this is because each product is individually made and cannot be re-used. We do not refund any postage or packing charges. Returns to us must be made by recorded delivery or courier at your expense and accompanied by a completed returns authorisation form which we will supply to you by e-mail. Until the goods are received at our premises, risk of damage or loss remains with you. Refunds are limited to the maximum value of the original order excluding delivery charges. Refunds will only be issued against the same payment details that were supplied when the goods were paid for.



Please be aware that any linked websites are entirely independent of us, and we are not responsible for their content or accuracy. We will have no liability or responsibility whatsoever for your use of a third party website.



We are registered with the United Kingdom Information Commissioner as a data controller and try at all times to comply with the Data Protection Act. By using this website you give us full permission to use and transfer your personal data for the purposes of supplying you with any product that you choose to order from us, and for our own marketing purposes. Your details will not be passed on to any other organisation without your permission, except in order to comply with our regulatory requirements and other obligations as required by law. In the event of a change of ownership of Arrowsmith Eyecare, the data collected will be transferred to the new owner/s. Credit card information is always encrypted during transfer over networks. The data that you enter for your credit/ debit card payment is not stored by us. Our credit/debit transactions are processed by Stripe. You understand that other data may be transferred unencrypted.           Please do not use this website if you do not wish your data to be used in this way.


We gladly accept NHS vouchers but only for instore purchases, not for online sales.


You agree that all communications that we provide to you electronically comply with any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.


You agree not to use this site maliciously in any way, and agree to indemnify us and/or any affected third party in respect of any loss or damage whatsoever if you so do.


We do not guarantee, represent or warrant that your use of our service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free.

The maximum claim for any loss caused by using this website is absolututely limited to the total price of the product or service that has been purchased. We do not accept liability of any other loss whether direct or indirect as a result of your using this website including but not limited to any damage to or loss of any equipment or data that belong to you


In no case shall Arrowsmith Eyecare, our directors, officers, employees, affiliates, agents, contractors, suppliers, service providers, or licensors be liable for any injury , loss, claim, or any direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, special, or consequential damages of any kind, including, without limitation lost profits, lost revenue, lost saving, loss of data, replacement costs, or any similar damages, whether based in contract, tort ( including negiligence), strict liability, or otherwise, arising from your use of any of the service or products procured using the service, or for any other claim related in any way to your use of the service or any product including but not limited to, any errors omissions in content, or any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of  the use of this service or any content ( or product ) posted ,transmitted, or otherwise made available via the service even if advised of their possibility, to the maximum extent permitted by law.


You expressly agree that your use of, or inability to use, the service is at your sole risk. The service and all products and services delivered to you through the service are (except as expressly stated by us) provided 'as is' and 'as available' for your use, without any representation, warranties or conditions of any kind, either express or implied, including all implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, merchantable quality, fitness for a particular purpose, durability, title, and non-infringement.

All of these terms and conditions and policies shall be governed by English Law, and if in law any of these terms, conditions and policies shall prove           to be invalid, the remaining terms and conditions shall remain in full force.


Advice regarding the health and care of your eyes is entirely between you and your personal eye care practitioner. If you have any problems with your eyes you should immediately consult your personal eye care practitioner. Any information on this website is not intended as advice regarding your ocular health


The trade names , trademarks, text, images, graphics, and logos on this site belong to Arrowsmith Eyecare or belong to their respective owners.. They are not to be reproduced or used in any way without the express permission of Arrowsmith Eyecare, or of their respective owners.


The headings used are included only for convenience and will not limit or otherwise affect these Terms and Conditions.




It is recommended that you consult your Optician to obtain your PD before ordering. Unless you specify otherwise, an average Pupil Distance (PD) of 63mm will be used when making up your glasses. If you are in any doubt about the information contained in your prescription, do not input it, email our customer service department ( see contact us page )
